Sensei Brad Draper has been training in martial arts for well over 20 years.

He has trained with some of the best martial artists in Australia and around the world.

Sensei Brad still trains to this day under the guidance of legendary J.K.A karate instructors Sensei Keith Geyer and Sensei Stan Schmidt.

As well as Shotokan Karate, Sensei Brad also holds a Black belt in the Korean martial art Hapkido, a style primarily used for joint locks and restraints.

Sensei Brad is an Ex-regular army Australian soldier with active overseas deployment experience with the United Nations.

Sensei Brad is a full time instructor with a full time mentality, he’s not in this for an ego rub or to make money.

HONOUR, RESPECT and DISCIPLINE are traits he picked up whilst serving in the Army, and has taken them with him into civilian life.  He prides himself that MACE install these all important LIFE SKILLS into children of all ages.  This is his life, and he dedicates it to his students, he truly lives and breathes martial arts.

As well as having State, National and International Success in non, semi and full contact Tournaments and Competitions, he never craved the Tournament wins or plastic trophies, he would rather dedicate that training time to come up with a new self defence drill or improve a teaching technique, many MACE students have also had a lot of tournament success thanks to Sensei Brad.

Sensei Brad has a unique ability to transfer martial arts knowledge to all ages and all levels.  Anyone who has been lucky enough to see Sensei Brad teach, knows that this is his true passion, and that he really does care, and go that extra mile.
